today was the HSG exam. i was extremely nervous going into it. it starts out like a routine PAP, but the most uncomfortable part was when the doctor inserted a catheter through the cervix in a balloon like device. it was inflated and then the dye was released. i was able to see the images on the screen next to me as the dye was moving through the fallopian tubes and uterous. that part was pretty cool. all in all i survived, but its not something i would choose to do on a daily basis! they say cramping is the most common side effect, and yes, i am experiencing the cramping even still (and the procedure was 8 hours ago!) it should go away in a day or so.
now begins the waiting time...my next appointment with the doctor is next week to find out the results of the blood work and this procedure today. hopefully we can begin a plan of action which will result in Caleb or Kaitlyn! :)

I know what needs to be done!
practice makes perfect
Sorry about your pain right now, although, it will be worth it as long as you can get the kid(s?) squirting out :)
