SPURS 91 JAZZ 79 GAME 4 WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS

i was gonna wait until the series was over before posting my thoughts, but my dear husband had this to say:

Okay, I'm waiting for your comments about the games with the Jazz, but I guess you're not going to bite. I also wanted to predict publicly that we'd win the series 4-1 with a loss in game 3. But you didn't so I can't.So I'm going to predict that if we play Detroit in the playoffs, we'll lose games 1 and 3 and win in either 6 or 7 games. If we play Cleveland, we'll lose game 4 and win in 5.Now post up your observations about last night's game! Thanks in advance ;)

so here goes: this series hasnt been as intense as the Phoenix series was, but last nights game was quite a different story! the fans in Utah are ruthless, even chanting "Javie sucks" (Javie is a ref) whenever one of our players went up to the free-throw line after a foul was called against Utah. at the end of the game, fans started throwing things onto the court and even hit Bowen. needless to say, it was a very rough crowd, and i'm afraid didnt do any favors for the image of Utah.

we won games 1 & 2 at home. game 3 was a pretty embarassing loss for us in Utah. last nights game was a much needed win. now we will be coming home for hopefully the final winning game on wednesday.

here are the stats from last nights game. i'll be lazy and just cut and paste from the postgame report:

The Spurs made history on Monday night with a 91-79 Game 4 victory over the Jazz. For the first time in franchise history the Spurs won a playoff game in Salt Lake City and turned Utah's previously perfect (8-0) 2007 Playoffs home stint into 3-1 Western Conference Finals deficit. ....Utah head coach Jerry Sloan and guard Derek Fisher would both be ejected in the final minutes of game.....San Antonio produced five players in double-digits including Duncan and Ginobili. Tony Parker scored 17 points, Michael Finley added 13 and Fabricio Oberto posted 11 points and a game-high 11 boards.......The Jazz was hit with five technical fouls in Game 4, four of which came in the second half and led to the ejections of Derek Fisher and Jerry Sloan.

GO SPURS GO!

Meh. Jerry Sloan is the Jazz coach. We watched him in high def during game one (or two) mouth off at a ref the words "That's a bulls**t call". It took long enough IMhO for him to get T'd out in this series...
