so i watched the cav vs pistons game tonight, and have to admit i got a little teary-eyed seeing cleveland win. this is the first time in franchise history cleveland has ever made the finals. this is also a big deal for cleveland as a city to have a winning sports team in a very long time. the cavs beat detroit 4 games in a row after being down 0-2 to start the series. something about that is sweet justice, if you ask me. i'm not a huge fan of detroit-dont care for their attitudes. so any team that beats them is fine by me!
although now the delimma comes---what will the Spurs do to win the title? the Cavaliers have been called the "Spurs of the East" since their head coach and assistant coach both worked together under Pops for 3 years, one of which was 2003-a championship year of Spurs. they have great teamwork and attitude, and play very good defensive ball. in the regular season they beat us both games. its gonna be a tough series, but an excellent one at that to watch.
since becoming an NBA fan i've gotten to enjoy the blogs and broadcasts of Steve Kerr. tonight was his final broadcast for TNT as an analyist. he has accepted the job of president and general manager of the Phoenix Suns. all the best to ya!
