Old job...New attitude

life can be very interesting, can't it... sometimes we go on journeys that have very obvious reasons, and sometimes we go on journeys that just make us shake our heads and go "what was that?"

i had a "what was that?" experience with the medical job i took. i thought it was gonna be just what i wanted. unfortunatly it wasnt. and today i quit. the first time in my life i actually walked out of a job. funny thing is that my trainer grinned and actually encouraged my leaving when i told her and said "good for you!..i'm not far behind". she and another fella on my team have been keeping their eyes out for other employment, too. sad really, that a place that seems so good on paper really stinks in person and makes practically everyone who works there want to leave, but have no place to go to right away.

good news though is that i'm going back to work at the recreational insurance job tomorrow. my boss had not found a replacement, had n0t even been looking, so when i asked about coming back she said yes. i had lunch with one of my friends from there this past weekend, and i realized how much i missed my coworkers from there. plus she was telling me about some things going on at the office that were aggravating and in my mind i thought "thats nothing compared to some of the things from where i am working...."

its amazing how having a different perspective can make a world of difference. i have a new outlook, a new attitude towards my old workplace. knowing how awful things were at the medical job makes me appreciate even more how things are at my insurance job.

i'll give it another year. then maybe i'll look around again. who knows, alot can happen in a year!
