Down: the 3 miners killed while attempting to rescue the 6 trapped miners in Utah. rescue search likely stopped....like many Americans, i have kept hope that the men were still alive even after 11 days. this recent development has just broken my heart. prayers to all the families involved.
Up: the sound of rain....i love sleeping when its raining
Down: Storm Erin flooded parts of town and a few people have died due to the flash flooding. prob. more to come next week with Hurricane Dean.
Up: husband's birthday today!
Down: earthquake and aftershocks in Peru...so many lives lost

Down: finding out my dad's cousin has breast cancer
there's so much going on in the world. sometimes i just want to close my eyes and pretend all the bad stuff is not there. i think everybody feels like that at times. the hard part is accepting the fact that the world is not perfect, and bad stuff is gonna happen no matter what. this is where faith comes in hand. God knows what is going on, and its not up to us to always see His plan. but He is good, all the time.
