tomorrow i begin a plan to get healthy. it will not be just a new diet. it will become my lifestyle. i must set my mind to it and follow through. i have faith that the result will be a healthier
and more vibrant me.
to start it all off i will begin by doing a 5 day fast under my doctors reccommendation. my food intake will consist of just a few items: limes, lemons, green tea, and organic grade B maple syrup.
i have never been a big fan of tea. but i made a cup just a little bit ago to try and with the citrus and the maple syrup to sweeten its really not that bad. perhaps at the end of the week i may even turn into a tea drinker. stranger things have happened! the reason for the fast is to clear my system...a detox if you will.
at the end of this phase comes phase 2 where i will introduce certain foods back into my system and keep a log of any effects i feel from the foods. this will clue me in to any food sensitivies/ intolerances i may be harboring. and then after that my body should be a revised machine ready for combat! (ok, so i'm being a little dramatic here....but hey, it sounds good doesnt it?!)
i'm actually looking forward to this journey. i will be sure to let you know how it goes!
now if you will excuse me i gotta go finish my leftover Thai dinner from last night before it becomes off limits! :)
