i was speaking with someone this weekend who pointed out that my estimate of how far along i am may not be accurate. as we were looking on the calendar and counting weeks it isnt adding up.
when i went for the first apt and the doctor did the ultrasound she based how far along i was on the start date of my last period. then she projected the due date to be June 29 and said i was 6 weeks. this was on november 8.
this doesnt add up. counting 30 weeks beyond november 8 (that would be 36 weeks total) would make the due date the week of June 1, not the 29th.
so if we count back from the 29th, then on nov. 8 i wouldve only been 3 weeks preg and the 6 week mark shoulve been around dec.2. it would make me in my 15th week now.
i'm using a typical 9 month (36wk) timeline for my math, but i think somebody's math is messed up. or else my body's ovulation is -which i wouldnt discount because thats why the fertility doctor said i'd have a difficult time concieving on my own (because according to the scenerio right above i wouldve had to ovulate 29 days after the start of my last period instead of the normal 15 days in order to be due end of June).
so until i find out exactly why she said the due date of the 29th when i go see her in a week and half i'm not gonna post anymore weekly development articles. ultimately it doesnt really matter when he/she decides to enter the world, just as long as i have a healthy baby!

The pregnancy is actually 40 weeks. So her date of June 29th would be accurate. I don't know why it is called 9 months when in reality it is 10 basing that every month has 4 weeks in it. Hope this helps. I agree as long as the baby is healthy and I can get there (lol:) I don't care when s/he comes. Love ya lots.
