long day at the doctors

today was a long day with the doctors. this morning i met with the specialist for the usual non-stress test and blood sugar review. sugars look very good. but the NST didnt go so well-Caitlin wasnt responding like they wanted. after an hour and half of being hooked to the moniter and she not moving much they decided to do an ultrasound to visually make sure she was ok. her breathing and heartbeat was fine, but even with the prodding and vibrating mechanism they used she wasnt moving too much. she was moving, just not enough for them to get a reading they wanted. but it was enough that i could leave the office (after 3 hours!!).so then this afternoon i met with my reglar OB. they also hooked me up for a NST and this time Caitlin cooperated and they got a good reading. they also checked and i am still 2cm, 50% effaced. no change there.

the specialist and my regular dr have conferred together.the specialist said shed just assume the baby be delivered sooner than later, around week 38 esp if the NST keeps coming back difficult. and i am now to have an NST done 2x a week. so i go back this coming thursday to the regular OB. i guess they will play it by ear. all i know is that it was a long day, and i'm ready for a nap!!!
