3am thoughts

early this morning as i was feeding Caitlin (which is going well doing half breast, half formula...thanks everyone for your support, it means so very very much!!!!!!!!) i was hit with a humbling realization. Caitlin depends on us for all her basic needs-love,food, clean diapers, to be consoled when upset, to be protected when in danger, etc.. and when all those needs are met she is one happy camper. i cant stop staring at her when i feed her and see the cute expressions on her face and the contentment in her eyes. but it struck me this morning that thats how we need to be with our Father. i've heard it over and over in church, but it really hit home this morning being with my own child. we need to be so dependent on God to provide for us as he says in his Word that he will. we are all children of God, and He loves us so much more than the amount i feel for Caitlin and only wants the best for us. i pray we are all reminded of that in some way today.
