i'll do whatever it takes...
because i wasnt feeling good yesterday with the fever and have still been in bad pain from the c-section chris suggested i call my doctor. so i did, and ended up in the office to see a nurse practicioner yesterday afternoon. while i was being looked at Caitlin started crying (i had woken her up from a nap to go to the dr, so i knew she was prob. hungry and yet nothing i could do about it at the time). well, once she started crying i ended up crying too. i was just frustrated, not feeling well, and on the edge. the nurse was great though. the appointment turned into a counseling session! she asked me what else was going on and of course i broke down into sobs. before talking to her i didnt realize just how much the unplanned c-section affected me emotionally as well as the breastfeeding situation i've talked about before, all that on top of the physical pain i'm having, the sleepless nights, taking care of a newborn, etc....its no secret that i've been very emotional. anyway, the nurse suggested i speak to my dr to take something to help with the hormonal balance. (last week at Caitlin's checkup i ended up crying in front of the pediatrician too because i was tired and frusrated and she also suggested i speak to my dr about the very same thing!) i have my one month follow up with my OB this tuesday. the nurse is gonna speak to her and let her know what we talked about. if she feels its best i'll start taking something to help. at this point i'll do whatever it takes to feel normal and be the best mom i can be to Caitlin. i'll let you know what happens..

Just keep hanging in there, I know it must be painful and frustrating, but you're doing great, being a great Mommy! We're all proud of you! Speaking of your emotions, they're perfectly normal and real. And remember you got Chris there to talk to and shed your emotions on, as well as your friends. Don't worry, it will get better day by day!
hugs sweet lani!!!! i'm praying for you! XOXOXO
