caitlin loves people. she gets such a thrill when we go to our small group meetings on wednesday nights because of all the people and kids there, and when we go out to do errands she is such a charmer with everyone. i sorta feel bad because for the majority of the day she is at home with me ad the birds. not much social interaction going on. i looked up "mommy and me" type of groups on the internet and havent had much luck finding something. i looked up the mothers day out program at our church, but she is still too young. i even called some daycare places, while its not my first choice but it is an option, and the tuition ran around $160-180/week. (it would be nice to be able to work some if she is gonna be in a daycare setting, but with the way the job market is now thats not a given. and theres no way we can afford daycare without me working more. kinda a catch-22). the ideal woud be to find a place i can work where i can also bring caitlin. but those are pretty rare!!
so once again i'm a little bewildered what to do. any ideas?
UPDATE: after more searching i did find some cool groups in the area. one of them is a music class even for babies. neat. the problem is that they all cost money, and for the amount they charge and the time of the program, i just cant justify it. for one of them the cost of the program is the same as what i pay for a months worth of food for caitlin...well, duh, when you are pinching pennies its a no-brainer that food comes first. anyway, i'll keep looking and maybe i'll find something reasonable or better yet-free!
