i am now working a half day on fridays. a friend of mine is watching caitlin so that i could add more hours at work. the nice thing is that after work and until i pick up caitlin i have some time to myself. this is the first time in a LONG time i've had the house to myself (with the exception of the birds). so i decided to make biscotti to celebrate! :)
also, this morning i used my check card to make a purchase. well, sometime between then and when i stopped at the grocery store on my way home i seemed to have lost my card. i checked everywhere, but no luck. so i called the bank to cancel that card and get another. after i hung up i thought to myself 'how am i gonna make purchases until i get the new card?' and i then realized we have something called checks. oh my gosh, did i feel stupid....how technologically advanced have we become that the thought of writing a check seems so foreign??? sad. really sad.
