today is 8yr anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks. time to take pause and give thanks.
but what is going through my mind most of all today are the events that shaped my childhood- for example the Challenger explosion, Gulf War, fall of the Berlin Wall, 9/11 ...and stuff like where i was when the verdict of OJ Simpson was read, the rise and ultimate fall of Michael Jackson, a time when the latest technology was laserdisks and the only cell phones were the humongous kind Zach carried on Saved By the Bell :) i gotta wonder though what events will occur in Caitlin's lifetime? what new advances in medicine, technology will she see? and ultimately i hope for her that the world will be a much more peaceful place.
