this won't be an orderly post. mainly because i got to sleep a bit after 3am and woke up around 6:15am. i am so congested i can hardly breathe. this has by far been the worst. allergy. season. EVER.
so anyway i figured i'd put something on my blog cause its been a week or so without doing that.
lets see...i can either complain about being sick (AGAIN!!!) or talk about something positive. like caitlin. um...the choice is obvious.
caitlin is getting so cute. well, she's always been cute. but now she is talking alot more, in the proper context. and its funny sometimes. i really should be writing it all down. but in my foggy state of mind these are a couple things i remember at the moment: she is very polite and likes to say 'thank you' whenever she hands you something. she puts her fist in the air and tell the birds to 'pop-up' (step up). yesterday she yelled out 'no,no,no' when a Sea World trainer jumped into the whale pool. she is now a big fan of 'ooo-rah' (Dora). Dragon Tales better watch out for some competition.
caitlin hates it when she is standing at the front door, hand on the handle, ready to leave the house and then i have to go back into the family room because i forgot something. she sees me heading for the computer table and has a fit cause she thinks i'll start doing that and that means we wont be going outside for awhile. poor girl.
reminds me of when i was little and just as we were getting ready to leave, my dad would go into the kitchen and start doing some dishes. that meant whatever plans we had would be postponed for at least 15 minutes. it was annoying as a kid. but dad, if you are reading this, which i'm pretty sure you will, i now understand. because i do the exact same thing. before i leave the house i like to have the dishes done.
and so when caitlin gets older, if she gets annoyed with my last-minute dish washing, i'll just tell her it will all make sense when she gets older. its in the genes.
well, since i'm still the only one up in my household, i think i'm gonna put in a movie based on the book i LOVED as a child and i found for $1 at goodwill the other day- The Journey of Natty Gann. knowing my luck i'll finally fall asleep only to be wakened by cute caitlin in an hour. oh well, such is the price.

Ah yes, the classic 1985 Disney classic. Good movie, always wanted a dog like Jed.
