shortly after we moved here we were befriended by a stray cat who i called Momma. i posted about it here. well, she eventually went away and another cat showed up in her place. i long suspected that this was a sibling to the original stray. a few months ago i noticed she looked pouchy. i didnt see her for a couple days, then she came back all skinny again. i thought for sure if she had been pregnant she would have brought the kittens up. after a month or so i thought no more about it. well, last week i happened to look outside, and whola-there's her baby! it is sooo adorable,too. whats even more exciting is that she is no longer skittish around me. she (momma2) will come up to be pet and rub around my legs to be pet. very affectionate!!! i wonder if Gimpy has something to do with that.. anyway, once the kitten is totally weaned from momma2 i will be able to take her in to get "fixed". unfortunatly i dont know anyone who wants a free kitten around here, so i'll just have to wait until its old enough to get it fixed. hopefully it will see that i am not enemy #1 and will eventually let me touch it. it will make things alot easier when the time comes!!
