my brother Dave, niece Chloe, and nephew Eli were in town this weekend. they live in Virginia and had made a road trip out to the Grand Canyon and stopped by here on their way back home. it is always so good to see them, i sure wished either i lived closer or vice versa. its always fun to see how much Eli and Chloe have grown up...it feels like yesterday when they were just babies. Chloe is now going into 2nd grade and Eli going into 5th. sometimes i wonder if this is the closest i'll get to motherhood, even though i'm only an aunt. *sigh* i tried to take a picture at lunch today but it t urns out the memory card had been left at home. oops!
there wasnt alot of time to do stuff together, but we did go to the Witte Museum (a kids museum) and then dinner yesterday. today we went to church and then to lunch before i had to say bye.
we ate a a good vegetarian restaurant that opened up not too long ago called Green. its the only one like it in San Antonio. i had the sweet potatoe gnocchi, it was yummy! all the dishes i thought were very good! i took home a copy of the menu to see if i can recreate some of the dishes.
anyway, its always wonderful to see my family!!! i just wish the time hadnt been so short.
