Fun Friday

Today has been a great day at work! my boss told us yesterday that she was having a lunch meeting with our local representatives from Progressive. since she was being treated to lunch by them, she treated us to lunch! so we ordered from Alamo Cafe. i ordered the talapia, i wasnt in the mood for regular mexican food. it was pretty decent. while we were eating, boss calls and says Progressive was going to buy us a cheesecake (since they were eating at The Cheesecake Factory) so which kind did we want? we picked the caramel pecan turtle flavor.

well, a little bit later Ginny (boss) comes through the door with a huge grin on her face, and carrying the cheesecake (which turned out to be delicious!!!). she tells us that she was the grand prize winner in the incentive contest Progressive was having (cross selling policies), thats why they took her to lunch. what was the prize? here's the announcement on our agency site:

LUCKY!!!!!!!!!! Progressive will be doing some media things with her to promote it, so if they turn out to be national advertising spots i'll be sure to let you know so you can see too.

but the fun doesnt stop there...

the Progressive rep came to the office and wanted to say thanks to us too because frankly we do alot of the quotes. no, we didnt get a new car (shucks), but we all got some Visa gift cards with a very nice spending amount on them! we were all surprised!!! that was a very nice gift.

so lets recap=free lunch and dessert, boss gets a free car, and we get to go on a nice shopping spree.... i'll take this kind of Friday any day!! :)
