week 9

This is the beginning of the fetal period when your baby's organs continue to grow and mature. The majority of his/her vital organs, kidneys, liver, brain, and lungs are functioning, but will continue to mature throughout the remainder of your pregnancy.
Your baby's head makes up half the length of the body, and there is a bulge in the forehead allowing for brain development. Fingernails, toenails, and hair will begin to become visible this week. The fingers are no longer webbed. The baby is actively swallowing amniotic fluid and kicking his/her legs. Your baby is approximately 2 inches long, about the size of a lime, and weighs about a quarter of an ounce.-American Pregnancy Association

i'm feeling pretty good so far this week. i tell ya though pregnancy is the best diet plan out there -- not to worry, i'm NOT dieting, its just that my appetite has reduced alot. if i wasnt pregnant and ate like this i'd surely be losing weight! it was kind of a bummer at Thanksgiving because all this yummy food was around me, but i was not hungry enough to eat alot of it. i only had a sliver of pumpkin pie so i could taste it.....whats up with that?! :) its exciting that baby is about the size of a lime! makes sense that i'm still having bad cramps and pains in my uterous, from all the stretching going on i guess.

Hi Lani!
Glad you and baby had a good Thanksgiving. One of my other friends didn't feel too hungry at first, but some of her appetite came back as she got used to being pregnant. This is so exciting, even from the outside!
