first of all thanks for the offers to come to FL :) you know i'd take you up on it in an instant if possible!!

secondly, we have prob one of the worst home warranty companies out there=AHS (American Home Sheild). they will try to get away with not paying for hardly anything if possible. several times we've had situations that they hardly paid anything on and we wondered why we even bothered renewing our contract. same situation today.

turns out that the break was in the main water pipe coming into the house. it happened about a foot away from our foundation, so that meant it was our responsibility to pay for the repairs. the plumber gave us an estimate and we decided to have him go ahead and fix the pipe. not cheap by any means, even more so when you're already financially tight. but we had no choice, not like we could live without water. its interesting though because even the repair guy said AHS was a crappy company, and they are contracted through them! come march i dont know if it will be worth it to renew the contract.

anyway, water has been restored. who knows why the pipe decided to burst just then, but at least we were awake at the time because a friend had been over playing cards. normallly we'd been asleep and the leak would have been much much worse by morning.
