my dreams for Caitlin

May 27,2008 was the 10yr mark of my mothers death. this year that date took on a very different feeling in me being that i'm on the verge of having my own daughter and being a mother to her. i miss my mom terribly. there are so many questions i'd like to ask, so much wisdom i know she would pass onto me. she was an incredible person, a strong woman, and wonderful mother. i want my mom to be proud of me as both a woman and mother; i want to do her honor.

part of the reason i've been detailed in this blog about the pregnancy is because i want Caitlin to know what this has been like in the event i am not around later to tell her. i want her to know the joys and struggles. the love we have for her even though we have yet to meet her face to face. i want Caitlin to know that its ok to be a strong God-fearing woman, but also to know its ok to ask for help. i want her to know about her heritage, the family who will always be there for her and the friends who are just like family too. i want her to know the love and protection of a Father who will never let anyone or anything hurt her. i want that special daddy's girl bond between her and Chris-a love so unique she can come to him about anything. i want my daughter to grow up healthy and leave a legacy for the rest of the world to see what an amazing woman i know she will be.

I know that she will be a strong God-fearing woman because she has two parents that will raise her to be that way. Keep your eyes on Him and He will bless you in more ways than you ever thought possible.
