the other day caitlin was playing quietly and i was trying to exercise to a Richard Simmons video in my living room. i had to make frequent stops to wipe her nose, so i kind of created my own routine! anyway, my 2 cockatiels were also getting excited by all the dancing around and they ended up jumping down off their cages. well, Sweetie started screaming. she must of landed wrong on her foot, cause she would not put any pressure on it at all. then caitlin started getting fussy because the birds were fussing. so there i was with a screaming baby on one hand, a screaming bird on the other, and Richard Simmons in the background. what a sight.

anyway, Sweetie ended up being ok after several hours of being in a small contained cage where she couldnt try to climb and held her foot up the whole time. Caitlin calmed down. but i tell ya, i was stressing. a sick baby, and a sick bird. which comes first?
