early this morning (12:30am) our male parakeet Mozart passed away.

we're still not sure what happened. we heard a night fright, then went out to check on the birds. Mozart was at the front of his cage, ok. we calmed everyone down. went back to bed. a few minutes later another night fright. this time we noticed Mozart was on the bottom of his cage, wasnt using one of his legs and he was uttering a cry. chris held him for a bit to calm him down. then he spasmd, his leg went straight back, he uttered a cry, and died in chris hands.

we were/are shocked. poor little guy. he was loved and will be missed.
