taking action

so the whole selling the house thing has been weighing heavily on my mind as of late. on the one hand getting a new place with hopefully bigger sq. footage would be awesome, but that would also mean a bigger mortgage most likely. where we are right now we can barely make it on chris salary alone, so it would be pretty risky to change that. wouldnt it be smarter to just stay where we are and pay down some current debt instead of obtaining more debt? the major downside is that caitlin doesnt have much room to play here (our house is 1220 sq.ft) and we have to keep the birds sequestered in another room which cuts back on available space as well as keeps them alienated from us. i hate that.

i know additional income would help, but i have been holding back looking for a job for several reasons- first and foremost what would i do for childcare with caitlin, and if i did get a job and we sold the house when would there be time to take care of packing, moving and all that jazz? i feel like i've been hanging in limbo. i'm trying to be patient and rely on God and His direction.

the past couple of days i felt like it was time to do something. anything. just something to be proactive because just sitting here isnt solving anything. so i've been scoping the job ads. i've applied for a few that look interesting. i figure if its meant to be it will all work out one way or another, right? in the meantime i'm trying to stay positive, keeping the faith. i know eventually something is gonna happen and there will be peace in my mind once again.
