Mary Did You Know insight

i'm excited its on the verge of Christmas season for several reasons. one is that its time to pull out all the christmas music. i love christmas music! my favorite song is Mary Did You Know. i posted the lyrics here before, and i'll do so again. but i was just listening to it and for some reason this time it took on a different feeling. especially the line "the child that you delivered will soon deliver you// when you kissed your little baby, you kissed the face of God." wow. so powerful. i think of all the times i interact with Caitlin.... we have no idea the impact our kids will have on the world, who they will turn out to be. we hope for great things from them but just think about it, what if your child turned out to be the one who cured cancer? brought the nations of the world into peace? would that change the way you view and encourage them now, as babies/young kids? Mary didnt know what Jesus life was going to hold, only that He was a promise and blessing from God. He was her son, and i think she loved Him with a mother's love like no other. let that be an example to us all.
