1) Caitlin-she is still amazing as ever. her vocabulary grows leaps and bounds every day. i really need to write down all the cute things she says. we are still working on potty training. she will go just fine if you put her on the toilet, but she pretty much refuses to tell us when she needs to go. i would love to have several days off in a row to really work with her, cause i know she would catch on quick if she couldn't rely on the diaper. anyway, we recently had to decide whether or not to enroll her in Mother's Day Out next fall. as much as she loves it and excells in it, we just didn't know what our work schedule would be like by then and what our financial situation would be like, so we are not enrolling her next time. i would be lying if i said i wasn't a little dissappointed. but she has a pretty consistant babysitter she likes that will watch her when needed.
2) Chris- Chris finished some subbing work recently and is now on the hunt for some permanent work. We are hoping we hear back soon about some job possibilities. In the meantime he is a big help watching Caitlin and taking care of things at home.
3) Animals-we still have the kittens Rambo and Xena. they still get to come inside on the back porch every once and awhile. Rambo especially is such a lover that i would love for him to have a home where he could get the attention he deserves. (so if you want some cats, let me know!) the birds are fine. we had a scare with Sweetie not too long ago, but she is fine with a little antibiotic help from the vet.
4) Me- best way to describe me is to say i'm hanging in there. i am not really satisfied with my job to put it mildly. the stress from that as well as finances, caitlin, life in general has really worn me down and affected my health some (the PCOS seems to be flaring up) that i would give anything to have a different job, vacation or extended time off. but reality says that isn't possible so i press on. i pretty much live for the weekends but they go by so fast. i know i complained before, but caitlin is at such a fun age now that i would love to stay home with her again. but that time has pretty much come and gone, and that makes me sad. so i basically take one day at a time. get through that and then face the next. i am looking forward to May 18 though cause one of my favorite musicians, Josh Groban, will be in San Antonio for a concert and thanks to a birthday gift i will be going to see him. i can't wait!
5)Spurs- i saved the best for last :) Spurs are having the best season!! #1 team in the NBA for awhile now. i really think this could be our year for a title as long as nobody gets seriously injured. i know, Parker just got hurt, but hopefully by playoffs will be 100% again. i'm just bummed that this year we don't have television and of course the Spurs are doing great. figures! but i've been able to see a couple games at other people's houses and got to go to a live game once this season, so i can't complain too much. i'm just very excited to see how the end of the season goes and the playoffs. Go Spurs Go!!
so that's about all from this neck of the woods. hopefully i'll blog again before 2 more months go by...but we'll see.
