NBA upset?

wow. this has been an interesting playoff series so far for round 1.

Detroit Pistons (#1 seed, east) won the series 4-0 against Orlando Magic (#8 seed)

Chicago Bulls (#5) won the series 4-0 against last years NBA champs Miami Heat (#4). last years champs out in round 1! i read that last time the previous NBA champs lost in the first round of playoffs was in 2000 (unfortunatly it was the Suns who beat the Spurs)

and of more interesting note to me, the Dallas Mavericks (#1 seed, west) are on the brink of elimination themselves by Golden State Warriors (#8) who qualified for playoffs the very last day of regular season ball! and from a report i read i found out in NBA history only theDenver Nuggets in 1994 and the New York Knicks in 1999 have won a playoff series as a No. 8 seed. granted, there is still a strong chance that Dallas will come back and win,but being that Warriors beat them all games during regular season, and that their coach Don Nelson used to coach Dallas and groomed Avery Johnson to be his replacement, well, i'm betting for quite an upset to occur. but we'll see!!

i'm just happy that the Spurs are ahead 2-1 vs Denver. hopefully tonight will be win #3 and then they will bring it home for the final one. but again, we'll see....the Nuggets are definatly giving us a run for the money.
