Good to know!

i had the apt today with my regular doctor. he is just an awesome dr, by the way :)
anyway, did you know that whenever you are sick your liver readings increase? regardless of why....its just something that happens in your body when you are sick. good to know! in fact he said he wouldnt have even told me about the liver readings (if he were the orignal dr, that is...) because of the above information.

and, he isnt so sure that there is a urinary tract infection (which is what the medclinic dr gave me the antibiotic for) because i didnt have any of the symptoms of one and my blood work showed no increase in the white blood cells (which signal infection).

so, his plan of action was to draw more blood and run the CBC again incase there has been any change in the white blood cells over the past 2 days. (that makes 3 needle bruises on my arms now!) he said if there is an infection somewhere it could take a bit to show up on the labs.

until he's able to figure out the underlying cause i'm to keep taking the antibiotic and tylenol for fever. he said its not a viral thing because i'm not showing symptoms for that, and if it was, the antibiotic would do no good anyway!

he said he would give me a call if anything showed up on the new labs i needed to be aware of. so i'm just gonna wait and see.

its so good to have a doctor who actually knows what he's talking about!!
